Rezept für Sweet and sour pork

Ingredients

For 1–2 servings

  • 250–300 g pork (pork loin or pork neck)
  • 1 sachet Lee Kum Kee Sweet and Sour Sauce
  • ½–1 bell pepper (red or green)
  • ½ onion
  • 80–100 g pineapple pieces (canned, drained – optional, very popular)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil (enough for frying)

Optional for marinating:

  • a pinch of salt
  • a pinch of white pepper

Step by Step

STEP 1
Cut pork into 2–3 cm pieces. Optionally, mix with salt, white pepper, and cornstarch.

STEP 2
Heat a pan or wok and add enough oil. Fry the pork pieces over medium to high heat until golden brown and crispy all over. Remove from the pan and set aside.

STEP 3
Pour off excess oil, leaving some oil in the pan. Sauté bell pepper, onion, and pineapple pieces over medium heat until slightly softened.

STEP 4
Return the fried meat to the pan and add the entire sachet of Lee Kum Kee Sweet and Sour Sauce.

STEP 5
Mix everything well over high heat for 20–30 seconds until the meat and vegetables are evenly coated with sauce. Serve immediately.
