We are Wen-Jie and Wen-Hao, we are Chinese born in Germany and are already the third generation to live in Germany.

Our grandparents came to Germany in the 1970s during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Times were hard and difficult for everyone in the world back then. Above all, the journey into the unknown from China to Germany was very challenging. However, one common denominator that enabled our grandparents and ultimately our family to find a new home outside of China was our passion and love for food.

Our family has been in the Asian food business for more than five decades. We, the next generation, strive to further spread the beauty of Asian cuisine and foods through our new venture "MAOMAO". In Chinese, "MAOMAO" means little cat. You may know the calico cat that welcomes customers and guests. This is where the name of our Asia online shop comes from: the lucky cat who welcomes our guests and blesses us with wonderful meals. Our family always prepared the most delicious meals for us and our guests to make everyone feel welcome! We didn't have much, but just by serving food, friendships, love and partnerships were formed around our humble round table at home.

With MAOMAO we want to restore this wonderful feeling for everyone and spread the love for Asian cuisine even further with our Asian online shop.
