Rezept für Mango sticky rice
Ingredients
For 4 servings
- 200g sticky rice (soaked overnight)
- 400ml coconut milk
- 80g sugar
- 1 good pinch of salt
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 mangoes
- 1 tbsp sesame
step by step
STEP 1
To prepare, wash 200g of glutinous rice thoroughly and soak it in water for several hours or overnight
STEP 2
Then drain the sticky rice and steam it over plenty of water in a bamboo basket for 30 minutes; Turn the rice halfway through
STEP 3
In the meantime, slowly heat 125ml coconut milk together with a pinch of salt and 80g sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved
STEP 4
Place the steamed rice in a large bowl while it is still hot and mix with the prepared coconut sauce; then cover and let it steep for 15 minutes

In the meantime, mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water in a pot and stir in the remaining coconut milk, then heat carefully and add the remaining sugar and stir in

Cut the mango open and put it on a plate with the rice, pour coconut sauce over it and sprinkle with sesame seeds
